mTab2: Kobian unveils Mercury mTab2 tablet in India


New Delhi, Jan 21 (TruthDive): Kobian has launched a new version called the Mercury mTab2. Kobian, a leading player in computer peripherals, announced the launch of a dual core processor based tablet under its Mercury brand, which is named as mTab2.
The old version was mTab with triple core processor. But, consumers didn’t find it attractive enough to pursuit them of buying it. Meanwhile, the new version Mercury mTab2 deserves to be bought by consumers. The new mTab2 will apparently be faster with a 1GHz dual-core processor.
The company said the mTab2’s design and features are ideal for people on the go and those who want to possess a tablet for style and high-quality connectivity. The Mercury mTab2 comes with an MRP of Rs. 11,999/- and is available ex-stock with a warranty period of 1 year.
The new version, mTab2 offers a 7 inch (16:9) capacitive multi-touch screen, powered by dual core 1 GHz processor. Based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, it also possesses an 8GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 32GB on micro SD slot.
The tab also supports nearly all USB-3G dongles available in India making Internet surfing possible anytime, anywhere, said the company. The tab’s USB2.0 port allows users to connect any USB device like keyboard; mouse and pen drive to the tablet. It also offers a battery backup of 8 hours, according to the company.
Other features of the tab include, full HDMI output along with Flash 10.2, and built-in speaker and mic. The mTab2 is highly pocketable as it fits easily inside a jacket pocket or a handbag, making it an ideal device for those who want to stay productive and entertained while on the move.
